Contents GameplayAlong with the various species of monster returning from the first Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter 2 contains many new monsters, such as the metallic wind dragon Kushala Daora, the lion-headed dragon Teo Teskatoru (named Teostra in the North American and PAL versions of Monster Hunter Freedom 2) and his female counterpart Nana Teskatory (named Lunastra in the North American and PAL versions of MHF2), the primates Babakonga and Dodobrango (Congalala and Blangonga in MHF2), the bull or minotaur-like monster Rajang, and the chameleon-like dragon Oonazuchi (Chameleos in MHF2). With new monsters also comes the prospect of new weapons and armor.Monster Hunter 2 has an improved weapon tree and upgradeable armors.
As in all Monster Hunter games, armor pieces can be worn to obtain skills and abilities. A new feature in Monster Hunter 2 is the use of gems. Gems add skill points to complement those added by armor and weapons. Gems are created by combining ore and/or monster parts. Contents GameplayPromotional art.Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has more missions, equipment, and monsters than Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and a new feature is a fighter to help the player on their quests. Rarity 9 and 10 armor and weapons were added, the player can now hold up to 99 of each item type in his/her item box, store up to 20 equipment sets, and get ten equipment pages instead of six.A new type of quest, the 'Epic Hunting Quest', was introduced, which will enable the player to take on, one by one, up to 4 different monsters in one quest, as shown in the released demo.
Weapons can now have up to purple sharpness which is higher than white sharpness. The player can now accept HR 7-9 quests in the gathering hall and new elder quests outside the gathering hall from a Felyne beside the village elder. The downloadable content can give the player special armor for their Felyne along with early unlocks for some of the Felyne skills. The introduction of new monsters such as the Ukanlos have been put into the game with even more creatures than the last version of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 on the PSP system.New Creature. Nargacuga - a Flying Wyvern that has the ability to attack with almost every part of its body, but mostly its bladed wings and its spiked tail. Its head can be used for biting, similar to the Tigrex.
Its bladed wings are used for almost the entire battle, dealing high damage. The tip of its tail is extremely dangerous. When in rage mode, its tail spikes will protrude until it gets out of it (although they protrude when it uses tail slams and shoots tail spikes). Nargacuga also has strong muscles that let it jump really long and high.Gallery.
